Need to Know

Honors College Decision Release - December 2nd
The first release of Honors Decisions will be on December 2nd. This is for students who met the early application deadline of November 3rd. There is still time to apply by the final deadline, February 14th. Be sure your seniors apply to UArizona and complete the Honors College application through their UA Future page. The final Honors application deadline is February 14th, with a decision notification beginning March 2nd.

Good to Know

Arizona Experience
Designed for prospective undergraduate students and their families, Arizona Experience is a full day, open-house-style event. Attendees get to choose what interests them and learn more about Arizona academics, financial aid, student services, housing, and more! They’ll also meet current students, hear from our academic colleges, make valuable campus connections, and enjoy lunch on us.

This program is very popular, and often fills up a few weeks early. Advance reservations are required in order to attend Arizona Experience. This event is free for all prospective students and guests are $20 each. 

Here are the available dates for Arizona Experience on our beautiful campus in Tucson, AZ, for Spring 2020:

Saturday, January 18th, 2020
Saturday, February 22nd, 2020
Saturday, March 21st, 2020
Saturday, April 25th, 2020

Once your students are admitted, please encourage them to check out their Next Steps Center. This is a student’s one-stop to make sure anything and everything needed to enroll is completed.

We hope your October has been going well! Below is the latest edition of the Need to Know, Good to Know. This is your chance to learn important and helpful updates from the University of Arizona's Office of Admissions!

Need to Know

Free Application for Federal Student Aid
The FAFSA is here and available for seniors! UA will be sending out financial aid letters as early as November. Please encourage your students to complete the FAFSA so they can be considered for the most aid possible. UA’s priority application date is March 1st -- but the sooner they apply, the better!

Merit Scholarships | Tuition Awards | Up to $35,000
In addition to applying to the University of Arizona, please encourage your students to submit their official SAT or ACT scores directly from the testing agency by May 1, 2020 to be considered for our merit Scholarships. Arizona Tuition Awards look at unweighted, 6th semester GPA in the 16 core courses and official SAT or ACT scores. Be sure to review deadlines and other terms and conditions on our Scholarships and Financial Aid website. Check out the chart below for more information!

Good to Know

Visit Campus | Students
Throughout the year we invite your students and families to visit when it works best for them. Our Campus Ambassador tours are offered Monday through Saturday. Students will learn about UA and take a tour with a current UA student.
