Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)

Eligibility Requirements:  Students must be drug and alcohol free during all activities and events.

Description: SADD is a school-based organization dedicated to addressing the issues of underage drinking, impaired driving, drug use, and other destructive decisions and killers of young people. SADD’s mission is to provide students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the serious issues young adults are facing today. Empowerment is SADD’s basic principle. SADD promotes a message of “No Use” of alcohol or drugs and encourages students not to participate in activities with destructive consequences.

Membership Limit:  Unlimited

Events Sponsored:  This organization’s unique approach involves young people delivering education and prevention messages to their peers through school- and communitywide activities and campaigns responsive to the needs of their particular locations. Projects may include peer-led classes and theme-focused forums, teen workshops, conferences and rallies, prevention education and leadership training, awareness-raising activities and legislative work.
