2019 Summer Program Opportuntities



The St. Louis Internship Program’s (SLIP) goal is to provide hope and opportunity for high school students in financial need through paid summer internships, intensive employability training, and year-round college and career planning, in partnership with businesses and community organizations, and to build the St. Louis community by developing motivated, well-trained, and talented future employees.


AG Discovery is a two week residential summer outreach program sponsored by different United States Department of Agriculture programs for middle and high school students in partnership wit selected universities.  Application deadline is March 15.

BEST Pharmacy Summer Institute

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

BESt Pharmacy Summer Institute is a collaboration between Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Express Scripts, Inc. and St. Louis College of Pharmacy.  The mission of the BESt Pharmacy Summer Institute is to expose and prepare local multicultural students for a future career in healthcare, with an emphasis in pharmacy.  Program runs from June 10 thru July 19.  Students should apply to the BESt Pharmacy Summer Institute by March 15th, 2019. Camp Cardiac - is a one week camp for high school students interested in exploring a career in medicine.   It's ran by local medical students.   June 24-28 8:30am to 4:00pm daily at Washington University School of Medicine.  Application deadline is  May 10.  Scholarship application deadline is April 15.  For more information or to apply visit

Cornell University -
Catalyst Academy - is a one week residential program (July 14-20) for rising high school juniors from underrepresented backgrounds who desire to learn about engineering.   Application deadline is March 1, 2019.

Curie Academy - is a one week residential program  for high school girls who excel in math and science.  The focus is on rising juniors and seniors who may not have had prior opportunities to explore engineering but want to learn more about it.

- Experiment in Architecture - Cost $1,725 which includes a 13-night stay at an Illinois Tech residence hall and meals and The Commons cafeteria.
