Test-Optional Updates
Many students have been unable to take the ACT or SAT as planned this year, so we have adjusted our test-optional policy from the previous year in the best interest of your students.

We are encouraging students who haven’t gotten the chance to take a test yet to apply to Creighton as a test-optional applicant. We don’t want students to pause their college search while they wait for an upcoming test date.

Students can be reviewed for admission and merit scholarships as a test-optional applicant. Then, if they are able to take the test in the coming months and want their application re-reviewed for merit scholarships with their test score, they are able to do so through the December testing dates (provided we receive the test scores by January 5, 2021).

Scholarship amounts will not decrease if students send in test scores, so there is no risk to sending in a test score. Their scholarship amount would either stay the same or increase.

Creighton Pre-Professional Scholars Program (CPPSP)
Because more than half of our students come to Creighton with the goal of pursuing a professional degree, we have created the country’s most comprehensive, intentional pre-professional advising and guarantee program. The Office of Pre-Professional Advising in the Creighton EDGE offers a premier pre-professional advising program to all students that’s unlike any other university.

The Creighton Pre-Professional Scholars Program (CPPSP) provides qualifying students the opportunity to be a part of our extraordinary guarantee program. In order to be considered for CPPSP, students must apply for admission to Creighton University by December 1, 2020. A separate CPPSP Application is required, with a deadline of January 5, 2021 and must include all required materials, as determined by each program. CPPSP Applications will be available in the student portal of eligible students beginning November 1, 2020.

The program offerings are dental, law, medical, pharmacy, and occupational therapy.

Keep an eye out for details and registration for an upcoming webinar, where we will share more information about CPPSP and answer your questions about this innovative new program.
