SLU accepts both ACT and SAT test scores. While we do not super-score, we will take the highest composite score, of all test scores we receive, for admission consideration. Students can self-report test scores through their application for admission.

Aeronautics: SLU's degree in aeronautics with a concentration in flight science, aviation management or global aviation is the only degree of its kind offered at a Jesuit university. At SLU's Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, students will learn to fly in some of the world's most advanced light aircraft - the Diamond DA-20, the Piper Seminole with the Garmin G5 electronic flight instruments and the Cirrus SR20 with Garmin Perspective - and further their studies in a state-of-the-art Canadair Regional Jet-200 simulator.

  • Pilot - The Department of Aviation Science has formed partnerships with different pilot groups and airlines - including ExpressJet Airlines, Envoy Air Inc. and Republic Airways - to provide opportunities for students and graduates to become new-hire pilots and/or to have a guaranteed interview with a commercial airline.
  • Flight Instructor - After graduation, we often hire our graduates as flight instructors within the aviation department.
