ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

Admission decisions were released on Nov. 1 Many students have received their decision, but many are still being notified. There are three ways students will be notified of their admission decision:

  • Via mail: Students who are admitted to SLU will receive an admission packet in the mail. This packet will contain their admission letter, an intent to enroll form and scholarship information, if applicable.
  • Via email: An email is sent to the student notifying them of their admission decision shortly after a decision is made. It is important that students put slu.edu on their safe list for email. Some SLU emails have been found in junk, spam and even promotion folders.
  • Via phone call: Admission counselors call their students individually to let them know of their admission decision. As always, the best source of information for students and families is their admission counselor. Students, families and college counselors are able to find their admission counselor HERE

NEW AT SLU

Midtown Redevelopment

Saint Louis University is one of the oldest institutions west of the Mississippi. Since 1818 the University has been located in the City of St. Louis and since 1867 has been at its current, Midtown location. As the largest urban college campus in the state of Missouri, St. Louis University is committed to continuing its revitalization of the area and attracting greater investment and services to the area.

Over half of the redevelopment area’s 400 acres are currently owned by Saint Louis University and SSM Health. The redevelopment plan outlines the goal of attracting urban scale and dense buildings that would cater to pedestrian users and provide retail shopping and services to the City and area.

A few major developments planned and underway:

Image

The 15 acre City Foundry STL project will transform the former industrial complex into a dynamic hub of innovation, complete with St. Louis's largest food hall, 10 screen movie theater, bowling alley and arcade, and creative office space.

Image

With all the excitement and development that is occurring in the space between SLU's north and south campuses, all the area needed was a name. After 8,000 on-line votes and over 2,000 write-ins, the public chose "Prospect Yards" as the name of St. Louis' newest district. The name pays tribute to the area's designation as the Prospect Industrial District at the turn of the 20th Century and the large rail yards that were once located in the middle of the district.

Green Street is restoring the nation’s largest Armory building and adjacent properties into a $100 million
state-of-the-art development. Built in 1938, the 250,000 sq ft building will house up to 500 office workers and
will include indoor parking, a wellness center and indoor pool, and an 11,000 sq ft rooftop access with panoramic views of downtown St. Louis.
