This fall may look a little different for us all, but we want you to know WashU is still committed to meeting 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students.

This is why we want to make sure you are aware of our bold financial aid program for your students—the WashU Pledge. The WashU Pledge provides a free undergraduate education to incoming, full-time Missouri and Southern Illinois students who are Pell Grant eligible or from families with annual incomes of $75,000 or less. The WashU Pledge covers the full cost of a WashU education, including tuition, room, board, and fees.

This program reflects our commitment to increasing educational access; improving diversity, equity and inclusion; and strengthening partnerships across our region.

To be eligible for the program, an applicant must be admitted to Washington University as a full-time undergraduate student, attend high school in the designated area, and fit within the financial criteria. Part-time students or students who are earning a degree from our University College are not eligible. The full program requirements can be found here.

We hope this program will allow us to attract students throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois who may have thought, in the past, that a WashU education wasn’t possible. Please share this information with your students who may be interested in joining our community and encourage them to learn more about affordability at WashU. Our admissions and student financial services staff are eager to provide assistance. Should you or your students have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
