Hi Jan Betzer,
Our Truman community knows that this is a time of adjustment for schools all around the country in response to COVID-19. As a result of school closures and precautionary measures, our Office of Admission has suspended all on-campus visits and travel to high schools. Though, just as the students and staff at Oakville High School have been adjusting, our office is providing alternative visit options for students and families. These include Virtual Visits with an admission counselor and a virtual campus tour!
As your Truman Admission Counselor, I wanted to let you know about these opportunities so the students of Oakville High School don't have to skip a beat in making their college decision or beginning their college search. For those students who have questions about the response and precautions that Truman is taking at this time, our TruAlert page has helpful FAQ information.
Given that we have Truman applicants for Fall 2020 from Oakville High School, I wanted to provide you with additional information about adjustments to our admission process to reduce the stress on students and families.
- As always, we do not have a decision deadline! Students still have time to submit application materials if they have not yet completed their application.
- In response to the rescheduling of ACT and SAT testing, we have extended our deadline for accepting final test scores to the end of July for students entering Truman for the Fall 2020 semester.
- Students can send us their high school transcripts with 6 or 7 completed semesters and we will be able to consider them for admission. We are accepting unofficial transcripts for admission purposes for the Fall 2020 semester.
|
Thank you for all you do for your students to guide them during this time of adjustment. Please know that we are still here to help support you and the students of Oakville High School to explore all that Truman has to offer. Take care and stay well! |
