Nurse's News

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Along with our online enrollment, the Mehlville School District has a new policy on accepting medication at school.  If your child needs to take a daily medication at school or needs to keep emergency medication at school please follow the following steps:

  • Log onto the Parent Portal
  • Once logged on, you will see wording that says: New Optional e-Forms are available
  • Click on View
  • Then choose: Dispensing medication at school, this will get you to the form you need to fill out for your child’s medication.
  • Once this form is completed and an announcement has been made for the return to school, please call me to set up an appointment to drop off your child’s medication. All medication must be in the original container with a current pharmacy label. My phone number is 314-467-7030 to set up an appointment to drop off medication. You can also email me at stebec@msdr9.org or fishern@msdr9.org.

I will begin accepting medication once an announcement is made to return in person, and the online medication form is complete for each medication.  As a result of COVID-19, Albuterol that requires a nebulizer must be administered outside of school; inhalers will still be accepted for the nurse to administer.  If your child routinely uses a nebulizer, please contact his/her pediatrician for their recommendation.  They may be able to provide your child with an inhaler instead.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
