Missouri State University: Make Your Missouri Statement

Missouri State University

We want you to be one of the first to know about a significant scholarship change at Missouri State that may benefit your students. Fall 2021 incoming freshmen who have a GPA of at least 3.7 will automatically receive a scholarship worth up to $2,000 per year, regardless of whether or not they submit an ACT or SAT score or what that score is. This scholarship may not be combined with other automatic awards. In the case that a student qualifies for more than one, they will receive the award with a higher dollar amount.
To maximize their scholarship consideration, students are encouraged to apply for admission by February 1, 2021. Qualified students who have already been admitted will also receive a scholarship (no action is required on their part). Sixth, seventh, or eighth semester GPAs will be considered for these scholarships. If your students are continuing to test, we will consider updated test scores through the April 2021 exam.
These new test-optional scholarships are:
  • Academic Excellence: $2,000 per year (high school GPA of at least 3.9).
  • Academic Distinction: $1,500 per year (high school GPA of 3.8–3.89).
  • Academic Achievement: $1,000 per year (high school GPA of 3.7–3.79).
Each scholarship is renewable for a total of four years. Learn more about our Scholarships for Freshmen.
View the University's press release.
Sincerely,

Office of Admissions
